SERP Snippet Previewer
Type your title and meta description to see exactly how your search result will appear in Google — on both desktop and mobile — before you publish.
Google truncates titles beyond ~580px (roughly 60 characters for most fonts). Shorter titles may be rewritten.
Keep under 155–160 characters. Google may rewrite or truncate longer descriptions.
How to use this tool
Paste your page URL, title tag and meta description into the fields above. The preview updates in real time. Switch between desktop and mobile views to see how your snippet appears on both.
Title: Google measures title width in pixels, not characters. The limit is roughly 580px for desktop. Characters with wider glyphs (W, M) use more space; narrower ones (i, l) use less. The pixel bar shows your real width.
Description: Google typically shows 155–160 characters. Longer descriptions get cut off with "…" — the preview shows exactly where.
If your title or description is being rewritten by Google, the issue is usually relevance, not length. See the Search Notes for guidance on on-page optimisation.
